provides grants to state and local government entities toward the purchase of battery electric vehicles and fleet and public EV charging stations. In June of last year New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program™ (NJCEP) allocated a total of $1 million for Fiscal Year 2022 for local government EV adoption and has awarded nearly $400,000 in grants for 57 electric vehicles and 24 chargers through the Clean Fleet Program. Clean Fleet is one of many State programs designed to encourage the use of electric vehicles statewide to reduce emissions and help us reach Governor Murphy’s goal of 100 percent clean energy by 2050. Applications are approved on a rolling basis and the deadline to apply is May 16, 2022.
