Construction of this building was completed in 1844 for a congregation that was established nearly thirty-five years earlier. The limestone masonry building incorporates Greek Revival and Federal elements within a modified meeting house plan. The building was listed in the New Jersey and National Registers in 1980. The building was abandoned following a decline in the size of the congregation. The building subsequently deteriorated and in 2014 the Township decided to acquire the property for use as a community center. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

The Trust grant helped fund the completion the exterior restoration of the building, specifically the north and east elevations, and interior rehabilitation including an ADA entrance and accessible restroom. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
