Statewide Assessment Testing Schedule 2025-26
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is updating the Spring 2026 testing window for the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment Adaptive (NJGPA-A), the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments Adaptive (NJSLA-A), and the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments Science (NJSLA-S).
Key Changes
The NJGPA-A testing window is being extended by three (3) days, now closing on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Additionally, for the NJGPA-A, the NJSLA-A, and the NJSLA-S, flexibility is being offered so that districts may make use of the full testing window to administer the statewide assessments. This includes the original testing window and the previously identified make-up testing window.
Even with this flexibility, districts need to ensure that each student is provided with a regular testing date as well as a make-up testing opportunity. Districts should begin administering make-up testing as soon as allowable within their testing schedule.
