The Law Enforcement #4153 endorsement entitles the holder to teach in New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE)-approved career and technical education (CTE) courses in the following programs, and programs of study under the following codes.

This requirement is for candidates applying using Option 3: Employment Experience Only.
New Jersey county and local police, sheriffs’ officers, state and county investigators, state and county corrections officers, juvenile detention officers, and a number of other law enforcement positions must be credentialed by the . Candidates with equivalent out-of-state employment experience must obtain a New Jersey Training Commission credential to apply.
New Jersey state police officers must be credentialed by the . Candidates with state police officer experience in another state may submit their out-of-state credentials. Also, under Job titles and codes for Employment experience it says, "Self-employment experience is not eligible for this certificate. Applicants must follow the requirements for using a bachelor’s degree or higher." Delete Applicants must follow the requirements for using a bachelor's degree or higher because an applicant can use an associate's degree with work experience and the license or just work experience with the license.
