Engaging with Global Communities
The mission and vision of the 2020 New Jersey Student Learning Standards for World Languages (NJSLS-WL) include connecting with global communities. Below are free resources for local educational agencies (LEAs) to connect and collaborate with schools in other countries. These opportunities are available for all grades K-12.
Sister School Partnerships seek to provide meaningful opportunities for students, educators, and administrators in local educational agencies (LEAs) to connect and collaborate with schools in other countries. Schools must be willing to sign on for at least one full school year.
- encourages elementary, secondary and high schools in Taiwan and the US to seek suitable counterpart schools for language-learning and culture-related exchanges and collaboration. Schools can begin with cultural exchange programs and advance to cooperative teaching or online courses. Please submit an official request letter and the (located at the bottom of the page) to the Education Division of TECO in New York. The platforms below can be used to identify potential educators or individuals with whom to connect and collaborate.
