"I took the president to court because he was illegally blocking billions in funding for Gateway and putting more than 1,000 men and women out of work. We won, twice, and federal funding is flowing once again.
"I said from the beginning that when President Trump gets involved, costs go up and working people suffer. Now, we finally have a price tag for the president’s delays over $1 billion if the project doesn’t keep moving forward. That’s why my Attorney General’s office is back in court today to stop this administration from once again cutting off funds.
“It’s time for the president to end this illegal effort once and for all and let the men and women at Gateway do their jobs on the most economically important infrastructure project in the country.”
