On Monday, January 5, 2026, the AHEAD Committee began their second week-long session for negotiated rulemaking. AG Platkin Leads Amicus Brief Opposing Trump Administration鈥檚 Illegal $100,000 H-1B Visa Fee
On December 23, 2025, AG Platkin led a multistate coalition with 22 other attorneys general opposing the Trump Administration鈥檚 policy imposing a $100,000 fee on new H-1B visa petitions. The brief argues H-1B workers are critical to the economy, especially in fields with employment shortages such as primary care doctors and nurses and K-12 teachers. .
