Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA)
The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program is a federal entitlement program that assists US workers who have lost or may lose their jobs as a result of foreign trade. This program seeks to provide adversely affected workers with opportunities to obtain the skills, credentials, resources, and support necessary to become reemployed.
As of June 30, 2022, the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) program has expired and is awaiting a decision by Congress for reauthorization.
- If you were certified from a petition and separated from your job on or before June 30, 2022, you may still be eligible for benefits and services under the TAA program.
- If you were separated from employment after June 30, 2022, please contact your nearest New Jersey to learn about available job seeker services.
