Motor Vehicle CommissionProposed New Rule Amendments -- Disabled Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient Placards
The Motor Vehicle Commission has proposed new rules pertaining to the issuance of placards and corresponding identification cards to disabled veterans and Purple Heart recipients to allow them to take advantage of an exemption from the payment of municipal parking meter fees under certain circumstances. The Commission’s proposal was published in the April 3, 2017 issue of the New Jersey Register.

The public has until June 2, 2017, to submit comments with regard to this proposal.
