Bridgeton City, N.J. - On Sunday, January 12, Troopers from the New Jersey State Police Bridgeton Station found a submachine gun and hollow point rounds during a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue.

While patrolling East Avenue, on Sunday, January 12, in Bridgeton City, Troopers Michael Muckley and Luis Rivera Guzman stopped a silver Dodge Caravan for failure to stop at a stop sign. While speaking with the driver, Raheem Jacobs, 25, of Bridgeton City, Trooper Muckley observed the handle of a gun protruding from underneath the driver’s seat.

The troopers immediately removed Jacobs from the vehicle and recovered a .40 caliber submachine gun loaded with hollow point rounds.
