State Police Arrest Hunterdon County Man
for Residential Burglaries

Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, N.J. – State Police detectives from the Troop B Criminal Investigations Office arrested a Hunterdon County man for multiple residential burglaries. On Thursday, January 17th, detectives arrested Jason Burd, 33, of Glen Gardner, on a pre-existing warrant, and then added burglary charges.

Between December 22, 2012, and January 11, 2013, troopers from Perryville Station were dispatched to Bethlehem and Union Townships to investigate residential burglaries. During the burglaries, the perpetrator forced his way in, removing jewelry, and on one occasion, a 50 inch plasma television.

Detectives collected evidence that led to Burd being charged with five counts of burglary, five counts of theft, and four counts of criminal mischief.

Bail was set at $25,000, full cash. Jason Burd was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail in default of bail.

The charges are mere accusations and the subject is presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
