The Stay NJ program offers property tax benefits to eligible homeowners. The Fiscal Year 2027 Appropriations Act, signed on June 30, 2026, provides for additional 2026 Stay NJ benefits relating to the 2024 Tax Year, plus benefits to be paid in Fiscal Year 2027 for the current 2025 Tax Year application.

We will be issuing 2025 payments on a payment schedule to qualified applicants beginning July 15, 2026. Paper checks will continue to be issued on a rolling basis.
