West Trenton, N.J. - In an effort to make our roads safer and reduce crashes attributed to driving while under the influence this holiday weekend, the New Jersey State Police will set up a sobriety checkpoint on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, in the area of Belmar Boro and Neptune Township.
If you see a driver you believe is posing a hazard because of poor driving behaviors, please call the aggressive driver tip line from a hands-free mobile device and report it by dialing #77. Be ready to give a description of the vehicle and occupants, a location and direction, and a license plate if possible.
Troopers will be looking for signs of impairment due to drugs or alcohol. So, if you plan on drinking, do not drive. Have a designated driver, or make other arrangements for transportation.
