Monroe Township, N.J. - The New Jersey State Police have arrested Daquan Williams, 26, of Trenton, N.J. for allegedly possessing 160 doses of heroin worth $1,600.
During an investigation, State Police detectives from the Troop “C” Criminal Investigations Office’s Detective Operational Group (D.O.G.) determined that Williams would be traveling to the Wawa on U.S. Highway 33 in Monroe Township with the intent to sell heroin.
On Monday, July 24, with assistance from Manalapan Township Police Department detectives, troopers observed Williams and his passenger, Jaren Williford, 29, of Trenton arrive in the Wawa parking lot in a Pontiac Grand Prix. When detectives approached, they discoverd three bricks of heroin inside the car. Williams and Williford were both arrested without incident.
Williams was charged with distribution and possession of heroin, and Williford was charged with possession of marijuana.
Daquan Williams was lodged in Middlesex County Jail and Jaren Williford was released with a pending court date.
This case is being prosecuted by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.Charges are mere accusations and the suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
