Woodland Twp., N.J. - The New Jersey State Police announced that the Human Services Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspected driver in a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Janis Ammlung, 56, a resident of the New Lisbon Developmental Center in Woodland Township, Burlington County.
On Friday, August 3, at approximately 1:22 p.m., a dark-colored vehicle was traveling on the property of the Developmental Center. Based on the preliminary investigation, Ammlung entered the roadway at the intersection of Gilbert Street and Kester Street and was struck by the unidentified vehicle, which departed the scene immediately after the crash. Ammlung was transported to Deborah Medical Center in Browns Mills where she was pronounced dead.
The vehicle is described as a dark-colored sedan or sport utility vehicle with front end or windshield damage. No additional information is available at this time.
