Lawrence Township, N.J. - The New Jersey State Police have arrested Anthony Jeannette, 20, and Kristy Taylor, 27, both of Millville, N.J., for allegedly stealing a pick-up truck and $5,000 worth of power tools from two properties in Lawrence Township, Cumberland County.
On Sunday, May 10, troopers from Port Norris Station responded to the report of a vehicle stolen from a residence on Sayres Neck Road. When troopers arrived, the victim stated his blue Chevrolet Colorado was stolen from his property.
A short time later, troopers stopped a vehicle matching the description of the victim’s vehicle in Laurel Lake, Cumberland County. During the stop, troopers confirmed it was the stolen Chevrolet Colorado and arrested the occupants, Jeannette and Taylor. Troopers also discovered Jeannette and Taylor were in possession of stolen power tools. After further investigation, troopers determined Jeannette and Taylor broke into another property on Sayres Neck Road and stole the power tools prior to stealing the pick-up truck.
Anthony Jeannette and Kristy Taylor were charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft. Taylor was also charged with possession of prescription legend drugs. Both were found to have active warrants for their arrest and were lodged at the Cumberland County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Charges are merely accusations, and the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
