Motorist Aid Leads to Seizure of a Firearm, High Capacity Magazine, and Hollow Point Ammunition

Westampton, N.J. - The New Jersey State Police have arrested Jahme Moore, 29, of Brooklyn, N.Y. and seized a .40 caliber handgun, a high capacity magazine, and hollow point ammunition during a motorist aid in Westampton Township, Burlington County.

Yesterday, at 6:27 p.m., Trooper Pedro Zamora was dispatched to a motorist aid at milepost 41.7 southbound on the New Jersey Turnpike. During the aid, Trooper Zamora discovered that Moore was in possession of a handgun.

Jahme Moore was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun for unlawful purposes, possession of hollow point ammunition, and possession of a high capacity magazine.

Charges are mere accusations, and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
