Division of TaxationThe Taxpayer Accounting Branch (TPA) reviews refund or credit requests. TPA also issues bills for underpayments of tax, penalties, and interest.
TGI Correspondence and Review Units examine Individual Income Tax returns to correct processing errors. They review and process documents sent to the Division as a result of a Notice of Adjustment. The Correspondence Unit also receives, reviews, and responds to emails sent to the Division.
Business Tax/Delinquency Unit聽examines over 20 different tax returns required to be filed by businesses. The unit corrects processing errors and reviews correspondence. They review and approve bills and refunds for multiple tax types.
Property Tax Relief Programs Unit聽examines applications for the ANCHOR benefit program, Property Tax Deduction/Credit, and Senior Freeze (PTR) program. The unit adjusts accounts and approves payments for eligible applicants.
Email Unit聽responds to emails from taxpayers, tax practitioners and businesses seeking answers to general tax questions. The unit responds to inquiries relating to Personal Income Tax, various Business Taxes, and Property Tax Relief Programs.聽 The unit makes account adjustments and issues refunds and bills.
Partnership & PTE (BAIT) Tax Unit聽reviews and corrects processing errors for single non-tiered partnerships & PTE. The unit also reviews correspondence and sends refunds or bills for each tax type.
